Artwork Guidelines and Resources

If you are creating your own artwork for printing, there are specific standards that will ensure a quality product that is delivered on time.

Here’s a quick snapshot of what we need:

  • A print or press-quality Adobe PDF with fonts embedded
  • A 1/8 inch bleed if your artwork requires it
  • CMYK color mode
  • Images at no less than 300dpi at final print size*

For more detailed information on our artwork requirements,
please refer to these handy guides:

Setting Up Art with a Bleed

Other file formats we accept are:

  • Adobe Illustrator: Embed all images (or send them in a separate folder) and convert all text to outlines.
  • Adobe InDesign: Package your file to include all fonts and linked images.
  • Adobe Photoshop: High-resolution file (300 dpi at final output size) with all layers flattened.
  • JPEG: High-resolution file (300 dpi at final output size for best results).

If you have further questions, don’t hesitate to contact us at: or by calling 763-576-3035.

PLEASE NOTE: Artwork that is not properly set up according to these guidelines will result in longer turn-around times, and/or additional fees for file re-submission or editing of your files.

*Large banners or signage do not always require images at 300 dpi since they are generally viewed from a further distance. We recommend images around 150 dpi in these instances.
